Abstract

Otherness and Animality in Marie de France's Fables Marie de France injects logic in relationships between animals: a logic which unveils the underlying power relation, but also suggests a higher form of rationality linking the strong and the weak in their own best interests, a logic of rationality, its transmissibility, and its pedagogy.
