Abstract
To assess the correlation between the altmetric attention score and citations as measures of impact for scholarly publications within and outside of the urological field, we compared altmetric attention scores and citations in two groups of journal articles, a urological group ( n=13) and a non-urological group ( n=129). All papers were high altmetric score publications. How researchers can benefit from alternative measures to make their mark.
