Abstract

Exposure to conceptual frameworks at both the micro- and macrolevel enables the advanced practice nurse (APN) to grasp a fundamental understanding of health problems not only at the individual and family levels, but also at the community and national levels. Theoretical practice considerations APNs need to operationalize to promote better health and disease prevention in rural families are discussed in this article.
