Abstract

The article discusses methodological assumptions that affect the accuracy of operational data on official statistics and limit the possibility of its application for real-time monitoring of the situation in industry. A methodology for the use of alternative indexes of industrial production estimated on the basis of data on electricity consumption and loading on rail transport is proposed.
