Abstract

Optical networks have revolutionized the data transmission system, with high speed evenover long distances, with little signal loss and high quality. The problem in question is that in thescope of duplication works there are many disruptions in the optical fiber networks. Keywords: Fiber optic cables, Construction, Domain range. The objective of this work was to analyze the cases of rupture of fiber optic cables in the BR-116 domain range, between Km 511 and km 516,focusing on those caused by civil construction works and to build the domain range of the networks present, thus enabling the reduction of this problem through alternatives for the relocation of cables. The methodology presented is essentially of a qualitative nature, with the purpose of qualifying the region's optical fiber network. The results presented show the importance of implementing the suggested alternatives in order to reduce damages and losses totelephone and civil construction companies.
