Abstract

When angulated abutments are used, transferring and handling requires close attention to detail to ensure the correct positioning of the abutment. Instead of using the countertorque holder (DIA389, Nobel Biocare, Yorba Linda, Calif.) to assist in handling and positioning the angulated abutment, a modified guide pin attached with a maximum of 3 turns can be used. A simplified procedure is presented for fabricating a countertorque holder that can firmly transfer the angulated abutment.
