Abstract
Summary Alterations in the serum proteins obtained by paper electrophoresis were observed in cases of regional enteritis. Nine out of 10 patients in our series had elevated α 2 -globulin in all stages of the disease. Reappearance of clinical activity seemed to result in marked increase of the s-globulin fraction, and a further rise in the α 2 level. Reversion toward normal values of the α 2 - and s-globulins was observed during the inactive stage of the disease.
