Alterations in expression of S6K1 isoforms in MCF7 cells have a strong impact on the locomotor activity as well as on S6K1 and Akt signaling

According to the National Cancer Registry, malignant tumors of the mammary gland make up the largest proportion in the structure of the cancer incidence of female population [1]
To create the MCF-7 cell lines with downregulated expression of all S6K1 isoforms or only main – p85 and p70 with unaffected expression of p60 isoform we introduced the CRISPR Cas9 gene editing technology and used the same DNA constructs as for HEK 293 cells [22, 23]
The CRISPR/Cas9 genome edi ting system was used for this purpose
