Abstract

An alteration or change in bowel habit is a common symptom. Colorectal cancer and Crohn's disease are common causes of this symptom that can be diagnosed radiologically. Barium enema is still a frequently performed investigation in the UK, but has been replaced, to an extent, by CT-based techniques. Alteration in bowel habit is a common symptom, and has many causes.
