Abstract

The article comments on the role of finding aids – “compasses” for archives – and the relevance of communication plans for the professional community of archivists. Starting from the Albert Einstein Archives case study, the article reflects on potential and risks of digitization campaigns and analyzes the communication strategies through social media adopted by archivist projects, commenting on the Facebook and YouTube data and feedback from the public during the pandemic period (2020-2021).
