Abstract

Introduction: The ALPPS is a technique that allows achieving hepatic resection by a rapid future liver remnant hypertrophy. Data on the effect of ALPPS in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with macrovascular invasion (MaVI) remain scarce. In this study, the outcomes of patients undergoing ALPPS with a diagnosis of HCC with MaVI are compared with those without MaVI in terms of intraoperative and postoperative complications, disease-free survival (DFS), and overall survival (OS).
