Abstract

Background and Aims: A recent meta-analysis shows that higher circulating plasma alpha-tocopherol concentrations (Vit-E) is associated with lower cardiovascular mortality. We studied the association between Vit-E and carotid artery intima-media thickness (CIMT) (a surrogate marker of cardiovascular risk) in type 2 diabetes (T2D).
