Abstract
We describe a simple pole model for the elastic scattering of α particles on 6Li. We assume that the ground state of 6Li consists of a deuteron weakly bound to an α particle. We calculate the angular distributions, and comparison with the experimental data yields a value for the coupling constant of the 6 Li−α− d vertex.
