Abstract
In this paper we proposed the Kantorovich form of $$\alpha $$-Bernstein operators introduced by Chen et al. (Math Anal Appl 450:244–261, 2017). We give some auxiliary properties and study the direct local approximation theorem, Voronovskaya type asymptotic and function of bounded variation for $$\alpha $$-Bernstein–Kantorovich operators.
