Abstract

More than 50 years have passed since the war in the Pacific with the Japanese took place. The campaign has been covered in great detail by many authors including the U.S. Department of Defense. However, Martin Clemens, who was an active participant, has come up with a most interesting facet to this complicated event. It is a most enjoyable account of his tour of duty as a coast watcher on Guadalcanal and later active intelligence officer for the invading Marine force.
