Abstract

Means of Expression of Konjunctive II in Literary Works in German Summary In the article it is mentioned that the Konjunctive II is the condition form of the verb and expresses unreal, but possible, assumed, desired actions. Konjunctive II is widespread in Modern German. Forms of Konjunctive II are widely used in both simple and compound sentences. They are used in both absolute and relative meanings. The meaning and use of Konjunctive tense forms in many cases do not coincide with their use in the predicate form. Konjunctive forms differ from predicate forms in terms of time and modality.
