Abstract
The paper presents a new and innovative method for the allocation of economic parameters between heat and electricity production for energy modelling of a combined heat and power plant (CHP). Combined heat and power plants for heat supply considered in this study are for: District Heating (DH) consumers (DH cogeneration); industrial consumers (industrial cogeneration) and; district and industrial consumers (mix cogeneration). According to the consumer’s heat energy demand, the CHP deliver mainly hot water and steam. The technologies considered for CHP cogeneration are: 1) Steam boilers running on fossil fuel, wood, wood waste, urban solid wastes, etc. connected with steam turbines (back pressure turbine, condensing turbine with adjustable bleedings or back pressure turbine with adjustable bleedings); 2) Gas turbines running on natural gas, distillate, etc. equipped with heat recovery; 3) Combined cycle gas turbine on natural gas, distillate etc. with cogeneration steam turbines.
