Abstract

2 Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive method for stimulating cortical neurons. The time-varying magnetic flux generated by the magnetic coils induces eddy currents in the brain. The cortical neuron can become excited by the eddy current stimulation. The use of a figure-of-eight coil allows focal stimulation in TMS. However, it is difficult to precisely position the stimulation coil by allocating the figure-of-eight coil. In this study, we propose a useful stimulating method for the targeting nerve using a magnetic substance.
