Abstract

In 1971 Graham Allison offered a set of three models to improve our understanding of the decision-making process in government, with special reference to foreign affairs. Professor Kellerman has devised three more models that focus on the role of small groups, the impact of the dominant leader, and the effects of the "cognitive process" on decision making. Kellerman, like Allison before her, notes that still other models may usefully be made.
