Abstract
The authors demonstrated the utility of stable, easy to handle diethanolamine boronates for the highly regioselective preparation of allenes including haloallenes and homopropargylic alcohols. The starting propargyl boronates are readily available, thus the whole sequence gives a simple regioselective approach to substituted allenes and homopropargylic alcohols.
