Abstract

Population: Unrelated Peruvian donors from Lima, Huancayo, Iquitos, Piura and Huaraz cities. N: 100. Extraction: Samples were placed on FTA paper (Whatman BioScience) and the immobilized DNA washed according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. PCR: The complete PCR amplification mix is added directly to the tube containing one punch dried of diameter 2.0 mm of target DNA following manufacturer’s instructions (AmpF‘STR Profiler Plus and AmpF‘STR COfiler PCR amplification kits—PE Applied Biosystems). Typing: ABI310 and reference sequenced ladders (PE Applied Biosystem). Analysis of data: PowerStats [1] and GDA [2]. Access to the data: adndircri@pnp.gob.pe. Other remarks: Linkage disequilibrium has been tested using shuffling test for all possible combinations between loci obtaining an exact probability upper than 0.05 indicating independence of loci in all cases. This paper follows the guidelines for publication of population data requested by the journal [3]. Forensic Science International 132 (2003) 164–165
