Abstract

A 6-week-old, exclusively breastfed and well-appearing infant presented with blood in her stools. A diagnosis of food protein-induced allergic proctocolitis was promptly made by the presence of the high number of eosinophils in her blood and the prompt clinical response to the elimination of cow milk proteins from her mother's diet.
