Abstract

Allan F. Rosebrock, director of teacher education and certification, New Jersey State Department of Education, holds a bachelor of arts degree, with a major in philosophy, from Colgate University, and a master's and doctor's degree in education from Yale University. Before assuming his present position, Mr. Rosebrock taught economics in New Haven College for three years. He served as dean of Larson College, Hamden, Connecticut, for one year and taught at New York State College for Teachers at Albany, New York, for seven years. He has also taught at the Johns Hopkins University and at Rutgers. He is the vice-president and president-elect of the National Association of State Direc tors of Teacher Education and Certifica tion.
