Abstract
It would be very attractive to fabricate (Extremely Thin Absorber) ETA-solar cells using one single technique of deposition such as the electrochemical one, as this would facilitate the assembly of the solar cells and reduce cost of production. In the ZnO-NWs/CdSe/CuSCN solar cells, the ZnO nanowires (NWs) and the absorber, CdSe, were already made by electrochemical deposition. In this paper, the electrodeposition of the 2D ZnO buffer layer and p-type CuSCN was investigated as well as the possibility to use them in the solar cell assembly. Formation of vertically free standing CuSCN nanowires opened the route to built ETA-solar cells with an inverted configuration.
