Abstract
We compare the hard part of the Drell-Yan cross section calculated at two loops by Matsuura, van der Marck and van Neerven with the predictions obtained by using resummation techniques. We observe that the convergence of the resummed expression is very good for leading and next-to-leading logarithms, and we suggest that there is room for improvement in the understanding of the remaining singular terms. Nonetheless, we find that the resummed expression predicts the two-loop K-factor with impressive accuracy.
