Abstract

We demonstrated a 160-Gb/s optical time-domain multiplexing receiver with a pulse-reshaping function using a cross-absorption modulation gate followed by a self-phase modulation based pulse-level discriminator. We confirmed gate-performance improvement by the discriminator for demultiplexing from 160 to 10 Gb/s and demonstrated pulse-level stabilization for all tributary channels.
