Abstract

A minimum graft diameter of 8.0 mm for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) is associated with lower risk of revision surgery. We previously described a technique for all-inside ACLR which incorporates the semitendinosus tendon (ST) and gracilis tendon (GT) in an eight-stranded autograft construct. We hypothesized that this technique would allow surgeons to follow a simple intraoperative algorithm to consistently achieve a graft diameter of 8.0 mm or larger without the use of allograft tissue.
