Abstract
Bis-xanthates of phenylarsenic(III), having the general formula, PhAs(S 2COR) 2 (where R = Me, Et, Pr n , Pr i , allyl and Bu n ), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molecular weight, IR, NMR ( 1H and 13C) and mass spectral data which have been discussed in relation to plausible structures for these arsenic derivatives.
