Abstract
The selective O-alkylation of the Na salts of the 2-methyl- and 2-methylthio-4-hydroxy-6-methyl-pyrimidines with isopropyl iodide in either alcohol or dimethylformamide, and the N-alkylation of the Ag salt of 1-phenyl-6-methyluracil with isopropyl iodide in n-octane, were accomplished.
