Abstract

This thesis investigates the synergism between alkaline hydrogen peroxide and deep eutectic solvent in a two-stage pretreatment of oil palm fronds. It identifies a new pretreatment process to extract lignin and xylose from the oil palm fronds for better conversion to biofuel and chemicals.
