Abstract

Abstract A number of mixed ligand complexes of alkali metal salts of o-nitrophenol, 1- nitroso-2-naphthol and 8-hydroxyquinoline has been synthesized and characterized. IR studies indicate the presence of hydrogen bonding. Ease of complexation as well as the yield has been found to increase with the increase in radius of alkali metal cations. Low values of their molar conductivities suggest that they are non-electrolytes.
