Abstract

Often points on a planar curve are recorded by taking two or more overlapping views of the curve. One then wishes to align the data so that the common part of the curve in the two views matches. The alignment can be done easily by a human, but it can be a tedious process. In this paper a new method is developed for performing the alignment automatically by computer.
