Abstract

ABSTRACT ‘Sustainability’ has become such a buzzword that its widespread use impacts both its research and practical application, for better or worse. Effective sustainability research should guide implementation, while successful initiatives depend on strong research. To bridge the gap between theory and practice, collaboration between researchers and stakeholders is crucial. High-quality research can amplify the positive effects of sustainability, while flawed research may hinder progress. Harnessing the benefits of its buzzword status is key to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2030.
