Abstract

The study dealt with the phenomenon of alienation and its relationship to cultural identity, and the study aimed to shed light on social media and its impact on alienation and the Palestinian national and cultural identity. The researchers concluded that the Palestinian society, like other societies, is affected by everything new in the world through social networking sites, but it tries to preserve its national and cultural identity and contributes to spreading and supporting its cause despite the continuous Israeli occupation attempt to obliterate this identity with many tools such as fighting Palestinian content, removing tags and deleting accounts.
