Abstract

This paper presents the data on the species composition of the alien flora in the Moksha River basin within the Volga Upland. Rare and newly revealed species are recorded. The groups of alien species are identified according to the time and way of introduction and degree of naturalization. Asian and Mediterranean species are dominant, and a group of American plants is also significant. The lists of plants of the basin included in the Black Book of the flora of Central Part of European Russia are presented. The differences in the character of naturalization between accidentally and intentionally introduced species are shown. Invasive plants are listed, and the features of their distribution within the studied area are noted.
