Algumas considerações sobre a produção e a aceitação de formas dos paradigmas vós/vocês após inquérito a estudantes da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto

Abstract

As part of the debate about the vós/vocês paradigms, in European Portuguese, this study aims to expose a picture of the use and acceptance of linguistic forms of these paradigms by a group of Higher Education students. The results show a higher production of vocês, although vósis considered the politest one. Remark on some maintenance of convosco over com vocês and the tendency for the production and acceptance of third-person plural verbs with fifth-person posses-sive determiner. The production of vós is associated, by the majority, with older speakers and with defined geographical areas.
