Abstract

Noninvasive imaging diagnosis of focal liver disease is based on vascular enhancement patterns as recognized on contrast-enhanced CT and MR scans. We propose diagnostic algorithms based on lesional vascularity and microbubble enhancement patterns on pulse inversion sonography. This material is based on our experience primarily using Definity (Bristol Myers Squibb, Billerica, MA) and enhanced pulse inversion sonography (ATL 5000, Philips Medical, Bothell, WA).
