Abstract

In a previous report, we developed optimization algorithms showing how optical correlation filters operating with obscured inputs were affected by disjoint constant background illumination. We extend these studies by upgrading our algorithms to include the theoretical treatment of zero-mean disjoint noise, as well as constant background illumination. Computer simulations involving noise clutter but no background illumination are used to characterize the performance of our upgraded algorithms.
