Abstract

An algorithm to control primary codec under the influence of interference in communication channel is proposed. The effect of errors in communication channel on the quality of reconstructed speech signals at the output of known types of primary codecs is analyzed. Recommendations to use algorithms for primary coding of speech signals in transmission systems from the viewpoint of ensuring the highest possible quality of reconstructed speech with slight change in transmission rate are given. An algorithm for joint control of primary and noise-immune codecs is proposed, providing a smoother change in channel rate when interference environment in communication channel changes.
