Algorithm of License Plate Location Based on Gray Scale Difference

Abstract

The automatic identification technique for license plate location is an important technique in the intelligent transport system (ITS), while the license plate location is one of the key points of the license plate identification. This paper presents a simple and useful algorithm of license plate location named Gray scale difference location algorithm. Experimental results show that the results of this study can effectively locate plate and the results are obvious.
