Abstract
Working with the fermionic Hamiltonian of chiral two-dimensional QCD, we obtain, following a Dirac-type algorithm, the constraint structure and equations of motion on the quantum level. The computation of the anomalous Poisson brackets is based on a method proposed previously. Because of a remarkable cancellation of anomalous contributions, one recovers Maxwell's equations.
