Abstract

An algorithm for computing the moduli space of pointed Gorenstein curves with Weierstrass gap sequence 1,2,…, g−2, λ,2 g−3, where 3 g−5<2 λ<4 g−8 and g⩾6, is given. This algorithm consists in deforming a nonreduced reducible canonical curve by the method of Stöhr.
