Abstract
Flavour-changing neutral processes can be partly eliminated in extended technicolor theories by a specific breaking of the gauge group, as shown recently by Masiero, Papantonopoulos and Yanagida. Some aspects and generalizations of their mechanism are discussed in this letter.
