Abstract

In this paper, based on deeply analyzing the traditional algebraic method for arterial coordination control and pointing out its deficiency, the optimized method of calculating the green wave bandwidth and the value of signal offsets and the best match method of intersection is proposed following the design principle of maximum green wave bandwidth and making use of the time-space diagram for arterial coordinate control. The examples effectively demonstrate that the algebraic optimization method can make an arterial coordinate control system get a green wave bandwidth as wide as possible and obtain a green wave bandwidth practically and accurately.
