STUBBS is the director of the SCI-UNK program at North Carolina State University, Raleigh. Dr. Stubbs's work focuses on making current environmental research accessible to many different audiences—from K-12 to the general public. The SCI-LINK program provides professional development opportunities for educators, from GIS environmental data sets and new technologies to residential experiences in different ecosystems.LUNDIE SPENCE is a marine education specialist for the North Carolina Sea Grant, affiliated with North Carolina State University, Raleigh. Dr. Spence uses different strategies and venues to translate research done by marine scientists to clarify issues and present new concepts to other audiences. In addition to doing K-12 education outreach, she works with ecotourism and international programs.CAROL HALL is a science teacher at Millbrook High School in Raleigh. Ms. Hall teaches AP biology and academic biology to Grades 9–12. She is also a mentor teacher, biology/environmental club sponsor, and National Honor Society sponsor at Millbrook High.MARCIA OSTENDORFF teaches seventh-grade science at Ravenscroft Middle School in Raleigh.
