Abstract

The dynamics of low-frequency electromagnetic waves in a turbulent homogeneous collision-less plasma is studied. Using this formalism, the stabilization of left-hand circularly polarized Alfvén-ion cyclotron instability due to Langmuir turbulence is analysed. The analysis is carried out using standard techniques of weak-turbulence theory. It is found that the electromagnetic wave dispersion properties change significantly in the presence of turbulence.
