Abstract

In 1935 a french doctor Alexis Carrel has published the “Man, The Unknown” book, in which he has clearly shown his pro-eugenic and pro-euthanasia attitude (especially towards serious criminals with no chance for resocialization). At the same time in Germany Adolf Hitler is realizing an eugenical project as “pathology cleaning therapy of nation”. Both facts are rising from belief that progress of humanity depends only of most talented; the weakest are condemned and should be eliminated. This social Darwinism is strongly related with world crisis due to a lack of correlation between spiritual progress and technical-scientific progress. Victims of the crisis were the weakest persons in a society. In a world which denies a mystery of the person, a weak human has been rejected as useless.
