Co. is engaged primarily in the ownership, operation, management, redevelopment, development and acquisition of properties for the life sciences industry. Co.'s properties are designed for lease primarily to institutional, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, life science product, service, biodefense and translational research entities, as well as governmental agencies. As of Dec 31 2007, Co. had 166 properties (162 properties located in 10 states in the U.S. and four properties located in Canada) with approximately 12.1 million rentable square feet of office/laboratory space.
