Abstract

Along with the fact that women enter the working life and a growing number of women takes place in the working life, a problem regarding the balance between working and family life has emerge despecially on child care. Women who cannot balance between working and family life experience difficulty in both their working and family life. Women’s borders of two sides being blurred reveal the social problems as well. Therefore, attempts have been made to develop family friendly policies aimed at harmonizing the working and the family life. Thus efforts have been made to establish policies aimed at balancing the working and the family life and protecting the job of the worker, which the modern workers need. Family friendly policies are a working organization which ensures the balance between the family and the working life, reduces the conflicts, and they are programs aimed at reducing the problem sorre solving them by making changes in the working hours and work place practices. Family friendly policies of various countries will be discussed in this study.
