Abstract
In Reply.— Fortunately for recovering alcoholic veterans, US Congress enacted legislation on Oct 20 providing that the disabling effects of chronic alcoholism shall not be considered to be result of willful for determining eligibility for a time extension to utilize GI Bill education benefits. This moots recent Supreme Court decision. By eliminating willful misconduct label, Congress has removed one more inaccurate and stigmatizing characterization of America's leading drug problem.
